Do you go on normal dates at uni, like to nice restaurants etc, and does the guy usually spend quite a bit on his gf?

Some people do, some people don't.

I don't get your question. There is no set rule, everyone does things a little differently. It would be unwise for someone to spend a lot of money on their partner, as most students have little disposable income.

Guys at uni typically don't have a lot of money - especially if they don't work. They might make an effort to spoil a girl now and then but they're not going to be able to afford frequent fancy date nights.

Both chip in for a date if you want to go somewhere posh.
