I once ran out of time in an exam and only managed to write an intro and one main body paragraph for an essay, but still managed to get into a high Band 4. And the AQA mark scheme has never specified how much we're meant to write, as long as we hit all the AOs - so do we have to write an intro, three main body paragraphs and a conclusion, like I've always been taught, or can I write less than two main body paras and still get into band 5? Thanks in advance!

i ask this all the time, the answer is it depends on depth! i tend to write the full amount to cover my back, just incase.

band 5 typically requires depth and breadth, in all subjects

oh also, in literature there’s not really a specific structure
