I don't understand flowers as a gift. Your giving something thats going to die in 7 days, greeeeaaaat. A plant on the otherhand, then maybe! Like a cactus or something! :p:

Guess I wouldn't be rude about it, but wouldn't be overjoyed by the gesture.

Wouldn’t be very happy. I would diplomatically show her the errors of her ways.

I wouldn't be rude. Although, to be fair - the normal follow up to that is chocolate - and I wouldn't turn that down!!!

I read in a book at the florists I used to work at that 70% of men would love to recieve flowers.
We had so many people who came in to get bouquets for their dad/uncle/grandad it was unbelievable.

More men recieve flowers than you probably think!!

I wouldn't mind it, not my ideal choice of gift - much rather have something I'll 'use' as such.
But they can be very nice at times, especially if say she's picked a certain set or flower to convey some sort of meaning and message (im not a flower expert but they each have their own meaning and message right?).

So yeah, wouldn't hate her for it - I'de appreciate it, but would rather have something else

I wouldn't say I'd be overjoyed but I do quite like having flowers around the house. Shame they die so quickly.

I'd rather receive an interesting tropical plant myself in room of something that will sit in some water and slowly die.

You've restricted the options too much, I wouldn't be overjoyed but it's quite a charming and freethinking gesture, I'd be happy and impressed.

Yeah, a pot plant is different, but flowers which just sit in water and die are depressing and oddly sinister  Most people probably dont think so deeply about flowers though :p:
