yes, Nuclear Engineering does exist, and i would imagine there are lots of opportunities Europe wide. I think most jobs would include Designing/operating nuclear power stations and improving performance, including commissioning/decommissioning. Also opportuinities in Nuclear waste disposal.

Lancaster uni offered a MEng in nuclear engineering, but not sure of any other unis. You can find out from www.ucas.ac.uk; but other science/engineering courses should be able able to land you on a graduate scheme in the nuclear industry.

also there are courses at imperial in material engineering that combines nuclear engineering.
