I've always wanted to do a fine art degree so I can then go on to train to be an art teacher (secondary), but recently I've been enjoying sociology, finding it really interesting, and I kinda want to study and teach that as well. I've been to open days for both and they've both been brilliant, so I'm really torn between the two :/ can anyone give me any advice on how to choose? Thanks

If Art is where your passion lies, I would say go for it! However, with Sociology, you said you have recently started to enjoy sociology and that enjoyment may fade. I recommend you see how long that enjoyment lasts before you consider it for a degree. If you did Sociology at University I must say you would more certainty and choice with that degree than an Arts degree I would say but it's about how you use your degree and making the best of it. This rule applies to both Sociology and Art.

Yeah, thanks for the advice! I want to be a secondary school teacher so either would work in that sense, but I have enjoyed art for years, since primary school even, and my love for sociology only began this year, so I’ll probably go with my heart (art) unless I end up falling in love with sociology.
Thank you so much!
