Hi anyone know when HKU is going to give out the offers?
Offers came out about this time last year, but this year the uni has a lot more stuff on their hands to deal with, so I'd expect them to be sent out earliest by next week.

Hi! When did they get the offers?
I think he/she's referring to interview offers? I doubt anyone's received one yet

Also, if conditional offers are being sent out, what qualifications are they taking and what are the conditions?

No, I'm referring to actual conditional offers
I know one is IB, but I have no idea what their conditions are

Just got an interview invitation.

For those who are interested in my background, I am graduated from CUHK biochemistry with first class honour and just finished a mphil degree in medical sciences at CUHK. I also applied med school last year but didn’t have any invitation from both CUHK and HKU med school. This is my second attempt and first time to get an interview
Any reply from hku?

I wonder if the admissions office or the med faculty will be sending out conditional offers... the HKU website says their admissions office will be closed until Feb 2 due to the coronavirus...

Hi! May I ask what was your GPA range for your biochemistry degree. Was it borderline first class honours or way above the boundary for first class honours?
I ranked 8 in 9 first class honour graduate
It’s about 3.7 in major gpa

hi jimmy, may I know if your major gpa is much higher than cumulative gpa? Just want to know if they are putting weight to major gpa as well or just look at cumulative. Thank you!

My school just consider major gpa for determining honours
I got 3.48 cgpa which is quite low for degree holders. Actually I have provided both cgpa and major gpa in the application

Have you attended the interview?

Thank you so much Jimmy! The standards required for degree holders are a bit unclear. Seems that the med schools (particularly HKU) don’t specify a cut-off...

You’re welcome! Yup, they just have a clear cut-off for public exam takers

Do you have an idea on why your first application did not lead to an interview?
Is your second application similar to your first one? Or have you done much more in your second attempt? (more work experience? Better academic grade?)

Nothing changed, I just used all staff I provided last year but last year I was a graduating mphil student
