I'm struggling with this question: B crashed into another car on a public road in the UK damaging both cars and B’s vehicle was an automated vehicle driving by itself. With reference to part 1 of the automated and electric vehicles act 2018 will the insurer or the owner of the vehicle be liable for the damage?

If the crash happened due to unauthorised software alterations or failure to update the software, would the insurer still be liable for damage?

It literally says in the legislation the answer to your question.

I'll assume you're being sarcastic. Jokes on you really, if you could be bothered to look at part 1 then it's literally right there in plain understandable English.
