ive been to their bar. It's alright. Didn't see anything that other bars don't have. And the barman wasn't very nice. Not much seating either. Quite full though on a weekday night.
The bar's got one thing others don't: it's full of Data Connection pint glasses now

pressure? oh..i should be under pressure..?

pressure is something you put on yourself really i think..

maybe some 'less pressurised' colleges give you less tutes & work etc.. but then, oh, you're less prepared for the university wide exams.. hmm, i spy a flaw here.

i'll take my pressure & exam marks that will hopefully get me into Oxford Clinical school please
Dear Matt,

I look forward to meeting you at interview. I am a first year PPE student at Oriel and i would like to dispell the roumers and myths that hang about Oriel.
It is true that we do have the odd Conservative type in the college, but my general experince is that we are a diverse group of people.

Someone put it perfectly the other day when they said:

What ever you want, whether it be getting up at 5am to row or spending US election night in the Union or working hard to get a first, you can do it at Oriel.

Oriel's bar is good, and there is a great atmosphere all over college.
Though it has to be admitted that the TV room is dungeon!

Over all dont worry just concentrate on trying to get in first.

Take care,

Frank Hardee

living in martinique 8000k from the UK on a small island means I shall not be attending an interview at Oriel (I don't know if this is good though  )
but I will be sitting the PPE exams in ten days!
so maybe next year we shall meet if luck is on my side!

And Cameron Penny. He's more than *just* an odd conservative type (see OxGoss for the picture to understand). It's diverse, like any college there will be people from all sorts of backgrounds, but it does have the highest number of OUCA members (over 100), which must give it a slightly more Tory feel?
