slightly missed conditional offer at university of edinburgh

I want to study pure mathematics at university of edinburgh. My conditional offer is 655 at hls and 30 points in total. I have scored 33 points in overall and 664 in my hls (6 mathematics HL and English HL, 4 Physics HL). :s-smilie:

Is anyone in similar situation as mine or has anyone been let in in similar situation to any science course at UE.
And what are my chances to be let in in your opinion?

I have recently written mail to admission office and now I am thinking about getting my physics tests remarked.

I have also taken SAT 1 and SAT 2 tests and scored 690 in SAT 1 mathematics and 800 in SAT 2 Mathematics 2 and 650 in SAT 2 Physics. I have scored 94 in internet-based TOEFL exams (out of 120).

Give 'em a ring and see, you never know, they offered you a place in the first place, so they do want you.

You did get over the points they wanted, but less than in the given subjects.

Good luck!

There was a thread about something similar earlier.

Stress the fact that you went over your offer in two ways - 33 points and two sixes. You've only fallen down on one HLS so just stress how ace you are, and maybe time management issues in that you revised more for English and that affected your Physics etc.

Does anyone have more information on this subject of narrowly missed offers at Edinburgh?
