Hi, thought id start a discussion for everyone applying to History for 2020!

I'm applying for straight history at Worcester College.

Has anyone got any interview invites yet?

Where is everyone applying and what are your predicted grades?

Ello fellow historian!

No invites (or rejections in my case) yet. I reckon we'll hear around the 25th of November if last year is anything to go by.

I'm also applying for straight History but at Corpus Christi. You might be the first straight History student I've seen around here for Oxford.

My predicted grades are A*A*A.

I applied for Ancient and Modern History at Wadham. Haven't seen anyone else on here applying for the same course yet, but it is a relatively small course.

Applying for History and Politics at Christ Church. I'm an international student, so I'm applying with a combination of APs and SAT Subject Tests, and the ACT.

I'm applying for straight History for Brasenose.

Haven't got any response yet, which is stressing me. Even though I know they probably haven't even finished reading the written work as the deadline was only 3 days ago.

Fingers crossed at this point

I read on another thread that history isn't likely to hear any response about interviews until the 25th! So long but at least we know not to panic.

Heyy guys, please allow me to introduce myself as the most stupid one here..

I've applied for History and Politics at St Hughs, probs not gonna get shortlisted but we move x

I'm predicted AAA and I got 3 A*s, 4 As, 1 B and 2 Cs at GCSE (although this was in a school where only 33% passed, also I had extenuating circumstances)

Where else are you guys applying to apart from Oxford?

Hi, I am an international student applying to read history and economics. It seems to me that there is no history and economics applicant here... If there's any history and economics applicant, probably we can create a group chat and keep us updated? Feel free to message me!

For GCSE I had 10 As and 2 A*s, so not among the best.

But I'm also applying as a mature student and finished my A Levels back in 2016 with AAA, right now I'm undertaking a further A Level in mandarin for examination next year too.

Hey! I'm in my first year at university in the US right now, so all my grades are achieved, but 5s in AP Lang, AP Lit, APUSH, AP Art History, and AP Comp Gov, and I have 700+ on the SAT US History, World History, and English Literature exams, and I have a 35 on the ACT. What about you?

I'm applying for straight History at Corpus Christi too! I have a feeling I won't get an interview because my GCSEs are pretty mediocre but I've obviously still got my fingers crossed. The 25th feels so long away...

I've not seen many Corpus Christi people - it's such a nice college.
