How to write your UCAS personal statement - the dos and don'ts!

Good afternoon everyone!

Are you in the process of writing your personal statement? It's an important part of your UCAS application, it gives you the chance to explain why you want to study a particular course and for you to showcase your skills and experience



DOS
Be enthusiastic
Proofread, don't rely on spellcheck
Get straight to the point
Try to remain calm and not get too stressed about it
Have a backup of your personal statement file
Ask for feedback from your teachers

DON'TS
Avoid cliche sentences such as "Ever since I could walk I've had a passion for...", "For as long as I can remember..."
Don't leave it until the last minute
Don't make things up or exaggerate
