They tend to be a bit lenient: If you collapse over the line at 11:10, twitching with snot poring from your nose ears and ********, then you've put the effort in and will (more than likely) get passed. IF you breeze over the line at 11:10, barely sweating, they are going to fail you so very hard.

So the trick is, really give it some, lamp round the course like a chav with a giro on a Friday morning, and show you've put 120% effort in to it.

Keep training. If you do you should easily knck 30 seconds off as its less than 5%.

Good luck

Oooooh. Well good luck with it. No doubt you'll have fun. A couple of mates of mine loved it.

I did the CLC at Frimley. It was sweeeeeeeet.

There are 3 ACLC courses. One at RAF Cranwell (used to be at RAF Stafford), this is run by both regular and vrt RAF. Another at Frimley Park run by the army and a final one at Nescliff (unsure of the details of this one).

They have moved all ACLC's to Cranwell. The ones at Nescliffe and Frimley are CLC's, not ACLC's.

Just to update, I passed the run easily, coming tenth out of forty.

Even the slowest person was allowed to stay.

But to anyone who wants to know, train so you can run it within eleven minutes.

(And they don't check your time against the time on your application form.)

Whats the fastest time anyone here has done 1.5 mile (2.4km) in ? I managed it in 7 minutes 58 seconds but did an extra 50 metres so I reckon I can inprove a little more on my second time. I dont normally run 1.5 mile as I prefer to run 5Km - 10Km but ive became intrested in some militery fitness stuff and deceided to see what I could manage. My usual running is 100m sprinting so mid distances are new to me but I seem to be not to bad so might switch my training now.

Anyone got anytips on the best way of running 1.5 mile ? is it better to start of pretty aggressivly or start off a little slower and build up ? I started quite aggressive but am considering running it a little diffrent next time I run it.
