Firefighter or police

I’m struggling to choose a career:
Police or firefighter?
RAF police or RAF firefighter?

both have benefits in both areas military and not...... I need help please. With ones the better choice?

They are very different jobs/careers.
Watch lots of police tv programs such as Police Interceptors, Brit Cops, The Force to get some idea of what they have to deal with.
Join fire service cadets to get an idea of what that's like.
Only you will know which career you're more suited to.

Policing is quite demanding; forget social life, free time etc for at least your first year. After that, you'll have to be careful about who you associate with and what you do in your free time. But you can have quite a big impact if you're good at it.
Firefighting is dangerous; you may get days of no real emergencies at a time, but it can be incredibly dangerous and traumatic

Both careers can wreck your sleep pattern and massively increase risks of PTSD.

Not sure about RAF roles. Probavly less public facing and fewer lives at risk day to day.
