I love it. I started in January and was torn between open uni. So far it’s been really rewarding.

What course are you taking?
Are the resources good?
Do the profs provide enough personal help and feedback?
Thanks

Hi I’m on the BSc Psychology. There’s an online database of research and a library. You get formative feedback on your assignments 2 weeks before submission date if you get them up the tutor on-time. Normally get 4 lectures on line which you can listen to if you can’t make them.
I chose Arden over open uni because I didn’t like 60 credit modules at open uni at Arden I do 6 20 credit modules and they’re really interesting. I like the fact that they’re finished and then you move on to your next modules. I also heard the open uni grading system is really odd and doesn’t match regular unis.
I think you have to be ‘on it’ though wherever you are. As in be 1000% on top of everything. I have the handbook printed out in a folder and I read Everything! Best of luck
Hi I am also studying at Arden University a BA honours degree in psychology and sociology, I am currently half way through my third year and I have honestly found Arden brilliant, i haven't had any trouble, all the work is very understandable and any questions you have the tutors respond very quickly you can arrange video chats with them also. They provide you with feedback on your assignments before you submit them to be marked so you can improve them too, im happy to answer any more questions, good luck.

Hi there!

I am currently in my third year at Arden University studying Criminology and Psychology and thoroughly enjoy it! As someone who was never really super interested in education throughout my school years, this university has made me enjoy it to the point I am always ready to learn more. The content given is easy to access and given to you in an understanding manner and any issues or questions that you may have, your tutors are always there to lend a helping hand usually instantly! You also have the opportunity to converse with former students there as well which I feel is great for some people who may feel out of their comfort zone!

Always happy to answer any more questions you may have!

I enjoy my study at Arden. Currently studying MSc project management and journey so far has been good. The module leaders always quick to respond to any queries, and student support really helpful. I am writing my dissertation and my supervisor always responds to my queries within a max of 24 hours.. definitely recommend

Hello! I didn't do the MSc in Project Management but I did do the MSc in Psychology at Arden and had a great time. I am going to be biased as I loved my time there so for some balance why not check out the Universities quality report with the QAA or their Teaching Excellence Framework Report (both readily available online)

I've worked in F.E/H.E for over 10 years and Arden have the best Virtual Learning Environment I have seen

Hi! You may have seen my older post from 9 months ago, I studied at Arden and did my MSc Psychology there and had a great time. Sometimes students can struggle with online learning if you are more used to a traditional lecture theatre and seminar environment, however, Arden does offer blended learning with centres in Manchester, London, Birmingham, and Leeds.

Thanks in advance,

Hello there Toni, I wanted to ask do you know anyone who is interested in joining Arden University with the intention to go to classes for 2 weeks. Wondering why Arden, well, it is because they are partners with Omega Partners and referring students to this uni will get me £500 per referral. So if you know of anyone, can you please let me know and give the full name and phone number and then see what day they are available for a phone consultation with the uni team. That's all my role is but once that's done and then they attend, it will be easy for me. So please can you let me know.

Thanks

Hi, I will start by saying I chose Arden for their impressive record with regards to what was then the equivalent to the Teaching Excellence Framework for the Office for Students. I completed my MSc Psychology (conversion) in 2021 and I had a really great time, on a program that was fully accredited by the BPS.

Perhaps I have misunderstood an aspect of your post, but I would not encourage any learner to just enrol at any University in order for a friend/colleague/sponsor to claim £500 and just attend for 2 weeks.

I am aware of many learners who are interested in signing up to Arden, delighted to say enrolment has been very, very positive this year, but due to GDPR I will not be sharing any of their details for such an endeavour

I am currently studying my MSc psychology at Arden University and have had a really awful time with them. I went into the masters really optimistic, and have spent the majority of my time chasing them for professional conduct, instead of studying my modules. The university are renowned for accusing students of using AI based on turnitin reports, even though turnitin have a disclaimer advising universities not to penalise their students based on turnitin AI results alone, as they are flawed. Unfortunately, when the university does this, it doesn’t matter how thoroughly you evidence your innocence, they are lazy and will still penalise you. I thought I was doing something wrong or missing something, then investigated and found that many of their students are experiencing the same. Knowing personally that I am 100% innocent and have thoroughly evidenced that, as well as having to chase them to improve their professional conduct and follow basic procedure, I am now confident in advising other students not to take the risk and place themselves with this university. I wish someone had given me the heads up. This is all on the back of me having to chase my return to studies following a break in learning due to a quite significant personal matter… instead of the university supporting my return, I had to contact them daily for weeks, at which point they tried to force me to start 3 weeks into my semester, and I had to argue that this of course is not ok. So then due to their lack of organisation and professionalism I had no choice but to start 3 months later, which impacted my life plans significantly. So in answer to your question, I believe that Arden University are cowboys after your money, not your best interests, avoid!

Sorry to hear that you have had a bit of a challenging time - I did 2 years at Arden doing the MSc and I had a fantastic time. I've never used A.I once (as I'm a bit of a digital nomad) and my assignments all went fine. I do know that the sector as a whole (working for two H.E providers myself) has had an issue with programs like Turn It In flagging up the use of programs like Grammarly. It is very common on International online courses as learners have written assignments in their mother tongue, and then used A.I to translate the work to English (in no way am I suggested this is what has happened to you- but it is an issue in the sector).
