Wait, your school actually requires you to write a letter to do DofE Bronze? All I had to do was hand in a form with my mums signature and £50...

Have they said what they want to see in the letter?

We had to do a powerpoint to get onto the scheme back in my school last year. What I did was write about my interests/hobbies and how the skills that I gained from these would help in the scheme like determination, teamwork etc and then I wrote about why I wanted to do it. To be honest, they let most people in they just get you to write something to show which students will be committed to the scheme.

Why we want to do the duke of Edinburgh bronze award, and like what we are going to do for voluntary work , we have to pay £120 something 😭

Well I suppose it helps to show those who actually want to do it vs those who just get signed up by their parents. It is annoying when people sign up and then don't do any work, it makes us look bad. At the end of the day, we can't do any of the work for you.

Just write about why you want to do DofE and what you are thinking of doing for it.

Also, where I run DofE the enrolment fee is £25 for Bronze...
