Firefighter recruitment process

Hi all,
Can anyone outline the timings of the process to get in as a firefighter? I have my interview next wed (16th July). Do you have a medical on the same day? What would you say the timescale is from having and passing your interview to starting your 9 week recruit training?

in my experience, for a different trade, but its the same for a lot of the airmen trades, sometimes your interview and medical will be a couple of days apart, i had my interview on the monday and my medical on the thursday, but sometimes it could be a couple of weeks, probably depending on how many applications need to be dealt with. then of course you have your fitness test, PRE RTC then final interview.. i applied in january, and im starting recruit training in september, so could be anywhere between 3 or 12 months, sometimes longer, it's really impossible to know, just keep focused, i would love for the whole thing to be done in 3 months but it hasn't, don't let it put you off because you'll regret it. Let me know how it goes, im in this september so you could be in around the same time. hope this helped
