Student Finance Issue

Hi,

I am studying with the Open University and have applied for Student Finance which has been approved. However OU are saying it is for the wrong academic year. I have been approved for 19/20 and they said due to the way they date their academic years I need it to be for 18/19.

What is the easiest way to change this?
Do I need to cancel my application and start fresh?

Also I have tried calling OU and SFE and both have not been very helpful.

That sounds really odd? How can they approve for a year that's gone by? Unless they mean they need financial records for other years or you're a year behind on payments somehow? My normal uni SF was for 19/20, never heard of needing past years :/
