Hi all, I’m sorry if this sounds silly.
Studying the primary function of the finance system. What does ‘enable transfer of funds and financial assets between savers and borrowers’ mean? I’m unsure what ‘savers and borrowers’ is, or ‘financial assets’

Banks act as intermediaries that channel money from savers (i.e. those who save/deposit their money with/at banks) to borrowers (i.e. those who borrow money from banks, e.g. via a mortgage to buy a house).

Financial assets basically just means money in this context.
