Hi. Just need to ask this question because literally no website had any answers: How did Italy's invasion of Abyssinia affect the League of Nations? And did it destroy it?

The invasion of Abyssinia was a physical representation of the lack of influence of the League of Nations . In having their demands ignored by Mussolini - the league essentially lost all credibility ( in relation to their authoritative role in global affairs )

- highlighted some long term issues ( the fact that their meetings were so sparse , the lack of American membership + most importantly - their failure to introduce sanctions on larger nations )

I hope this is helpful ( sorry if not )
