I don’t know weather this is classed as a national hair colour or not...
I want to dye my hair aubergine with my natural hair colour being a medium brown I don’t know if I’ll be allowed.

Ask before you do it. It'll be a giant pain to dye it, find out it's against the rules then be forced to dye it back.

If someone else is doing it at your school then it should be fine :yep:
I'd ask your head of year though just to be on the safe side :dontknow:

Okay, i dyed my hair pink a year or two ago, and i became every senior management staff's problem. wherever i went they would chase after me and tell me to dye it back, even though it came out after 10-15 washes. they even decided it was a good idea to call my parents (but my mum didn't care and made up a lie about my hair going green if i dyed it brown). basically moral of the story - don't do it unless you want to be nagged by teacher's everyday.

Defo depends on the school though. I dyed my hair purple during summer and none of the teachers care.

If the policy is only natural hair colours then no, this wouldn't be okay.

That's during the summer which is totally different. Loads of teachers leave around that time so they worry less. It would become more of a 'trend' if kids did it during autumn/winter, and would leave the school looking really unprofessional which is why most teachers don't like kids dying their hair colours which aren't natural/don't look good.

No, I meant I dyed it near the end of the summer holiday meaning I had dyed hair at the beginning of the school year

I need help please. My school will let girls dye their hair whatever color they want and I asked my school if I could dye my hair a deep/dark red and they won't let me because their saying it's not normal for a male to dye their hair and it will be a distraction. My hair is a dark brown so not much will change

yess you should
just ask your school first.

I mean one of my best friends has blue hair lol and she's allowed, so hopefully, you would be too
