They should have let you know via a formal letter or somethig what to wear:smile:

I think it might be stacking shelfs if your not behind the till.

Didn't they give you a job description?

I've worked at Asda for the past couple of years and the Best Welcome is just an induction to the job. You will be shown training videos and be given loads of paperwork relating to your job. They will probably give you an introduction to the in-store training books which you will complete during your first few months at work.

You will also be given your uniform to wear. So on the first day, at least, you will just need something smart. Remember that you have to wear the appropriate footwear, black, no sandals etc. Definitely don't wear jeans, a pair of smart black trousers is the best as it covers most eventualities, and a smart shirt/blouse. You may be taken onto the shop floor and you don't want to look like a chav!

Like the poster said, it is an induction, and they definitely will take you onto the shop floor as part of the health and safety walkround, so make sure you are dressed appropriately!
