Hi guys, I have been considering applying for a Master degree in Economics in the UK next year but I am kind of confused about where to apply.
I have looked at the Edinburgh and Nottingham MsC Economics course but I do not know how good their program really is and their reputation (in the economics field).

I am Spanish and I finished my degree in Economics last June in a Spanish university with an average score of 8.9/10 (which is more or less a GPA of 3.73 ).
I am interested in a strong quantitative Msc master that allows me to apply for a PhD the year after, but, if it also has a non-academic path it would be great just in case I finally decide to postpone my PhD.

I am also concerned about my English level as I just took the IELTS exam (with results of 7.5 overall, 8.5 in listening and reading but 7 in speaking and 6.5 in writing) and I do not know if many universities may reject my application due to the low score in writing.

And finally, to be honest, I have not really cleared up my mind about which subjects I like the most but I can say I like both micro and macro and I am quite good with all the quantitative stuff so, I would like to focus in micro or macro but from a quantitative point of view (for example macro or microeconometrics subjects iwould fit my interests).

Thanks in advance!!
