MA Filmmaking (Producing) at Goldsmiths reviews

Is anyone able to speak to their experience in the MA Filmmaking (Producing) course at Goldsmiths? I come from a media business degree background but am looking on gaining more practical skills in the area of producing/business of film and tv. Did you find the course practical/useful? Are there good links to employment afterwards? What makes this program better than others?

Hi there! 👋

At Goldsmiths the Producing pathway is really unique because you can gain practical skills while specialising in either development, where you will work with writers and directors to develop new ideas, or line producing, where you will focus more on how to run a production and a crew, and how to also take a production manager or assistant director role. 📽️

To learn more about the practical skills you'll gain on the course, I'd definitely recommend visiting the campus during an open day. On these days you can meet academics and current students and ask any specific queries you have. Our next postgraduate open evening will be 18 March, you can book online here: www.gold.ac.uk/open-days/

You can also view the programme specification here to learn a bit more about the structure of the course. 😊

If you have any specific queries about the programme or studying at Goldsmiths feel free to let me know!
