This forum has a long distance relationship society.

Communication and commitment is vital, as is trust. If there's no trust there there's no way you can maintain a long distance relationship. And communication comes in many forms; MSN, webcam, emails, letters, phone, text... And of course, face to face whenever possible.

its okay as long as there is a strict timeframe...itherefore something to aim for...light at the end of the tunnel etc. if you dont know when you will be together (ie next living near each other) it is mostly impossible to make it work imo.

do really nice things eg. send her letters as opposed to email, or facebook comments.
call her at random times, send her little presents. just show her that you love her and tht you dont want to let her go.

Always have something planned to look forward too. Book concerts to your favourite bands or even just plan a date when you are going to see each other. Even if its a month or more away it still gives the relationship a feeling of purpose.
