I have been working for the same company since august, I transferred in october to a different branch within this company. I was told on both occasions that I am on a temporary contract, so including my new start at the new branch. Do I get any paid holiday? I cant go during xmas because its retail but I am desperate to go on a holiday, just soo desperate!!

You are entitled to paid holiday, legally. But as you're probably on a temporary seasonal contract, it makes sense if they won't let you over the Christmas period.

I have been told I could be made permanent and think I will be as someone has already quit and I cant see any reason why they wouldn't keep me on, can I get holiday after xmas then?

Yes check your contract, some temporary workers get a small supplement on their hourly rate to pay them for holiday.
