Just because a university is part of the Russell Group marketing ploy doesnt make it better than one which isnt. Pre 2011 Durham and Exeter were not in the Russell Group but in the 1994 group with the likes of Bath, Lancaster and St Andrews. They havent improved since then and those that didnt join havent suddenly got worse. Russell group membership isnt an issue when deciding on a university. Bristol and Bath are totally different universities. Bristol is an old city centre university which covers most academic subjects where as Bath is a more modern university based on an out of town campus and tends to specialise in science, technology and social sciences courses. It also has a large number of year in industry courses which can help with employment. Look into the options and what you prefer but do not just go to Bristol because it belongs to a marketing body.

crap advice. Bath and Bristol are both highly regarded by employers. they are basically equal.
just look the league table
Both are 'good' Unis. So, you need to decide what sort of Uni you want to be at and which of the two courses is more appealing.

Bristol is a city-based Uni, Bath is a campus Uni.
The courses will not be identical, and again only you can decide which one interests you more. Look at the available course Units for all three years of the course and also check what extras are available like work placements, study abroad.

Thanks even tho Bath is a lot higher in management league tables 3rd and Bristol 20th would this matter after graduation? Thanks

OP specified undergrad.
What has being RG got to do with that?

Unless you are thinking about doing a PhD, there is very little difference both about equal.

in my opinion RG universities are better than other universities and I do not consider them equal.

Do you know what the RG actually is? Because it has almost nothing to do with undergraduate or even postgrad-taught education.

So is Bath then worse then City, QMUL, Cardiff?

Is the Royal Veterinary College (considered the best in the world in veterinary, but not a RG) automatically worse then Liverpool vet school?

RG is just a marketing brand, nothing else.
Rankings were devised to market the newspapers sponsoring them, nothing else.
Neither guarantee that you will enjoy the course, or that you will get a First.
They also dont guarantee that you will get a job at the end of your degree, or have a happy life.

Employers are far less impressed by 'RG' and 'rankings' than school leavers seem to imagine.

As above, you have decide which course and Uni you want. There is no easy-fix shortcut to this.
You have to work out what you want from your degree and your University experience, and then make your choice.

Hi there!

As mentioned above, our business school is highly ranked across national league tables. You might find this website useful to compare post-uni prospects. According to WhichUni, the average salary of a Business student upon graduation is £30,000 which is very high for graduates.

However, there are lots of things to consider when choosing a uni, and despite their locations, Bath and Bristol are very different unis (city/campus, smaller/bigger). You can check out our forum if you're interested in learning more about Bath

Well, obviously it would, if certain TSR members were writing the person spec for the job.

But out in the real world, one suspects that few employers feel that life is long enough to be constantly checking the league table position of every university an applicant might have got their bachelors degree at. @Doones has a good table showing what characteristics employers find desirable, iirc.
