Hey all!
I'm planning on auditioning for NYT in March 2020, and I noticed on their website that you are only expected to prepare a monologue of up to 3 minutes. They also mentioned on their website that you can perform a song if you wish to, and I'm considering doing this to demonstrate that I am a versatile candidate. I was wondering if anyone who has auditioned for them in the past did this, and if so. would you recommend it? Why/Why not?
I'd also like to say that I am a mezzo-soprano, so if anyone has any song recommendations for my vocal range, I'd be thankful if you shared them.
Many thanks,
Holly

Hi there.Since the NYT is prodominantly an acting club, i'm going to, and I do suggest, to focus on acting for now in the audition and instead, when they interview you be SURE to mention you do singing as a hobby.
