As i was thinking about this i could only think about advantages of legalising drugs.

It would decrease gang crime by alot as if they don't have drugs it would be way harder for them to make money.

Drugs could be taxed like cigarettes in order to generate revenue to be put into positive things in society instead of the gangs taking all of this money and using it negatively.

Drugs would at least actually be pure. i think i remember seeing recently that alot of the weed in spain was contaminated with e.coli and i'm pretty sure they put acid in cocaine for example.

i've never taken drugs (except alcohol) and never smoked either so no i am not biased😂

All drugs? As in only drugs that are currently abused right?

I don't think making all Prescription Only Medicine (POM) suddenly available Over The Counter (OTC) is your original intention as stated in your OP.

Considering that many prescription drugs are infinitely more dangerous than some potty little 'party drug'...
Equally, prescription drugs are illegal with said script.

Although on the point at large, no. Some should be and im in favour of de-criminalization for many of them but things like Meth and some of the 'research chemicals' should stay banned.

the defining line is what type of drugs ? In your question about party drug. Does this include Heroine ? Or crack ?

At this moment in time, even with soft party drugs. People are dying with taking soft party drugs. Such as spice.
Without regulations. There would be more potent drugs on the streets. Such as man made highly potent crack.
