i was paid. how long have you been working at Tesco?

it should go in at midnight GMT (ie 11pm BST) on the thursday night/friday morning. Paydays are easy to work out - it's just every 4th friday. The only time it gets a bit dodgy is around april when you get odd pay dates because of the end of the tax year.
I haven't been paid either. I left my job on Monday, but they obviously still owe me money fir the hours I've worked up until then. Any ideas why?

Leavers' pay is paid differently from normal pay (it’s either the Tuesday directly after pay day or two weeks after, I can’t remember for sure…it’s definitely a Tuesday though). If you didn't make it complicate to calculate (i.e you didn't go awol, you worked your full required notice period etc.) and haven't received it within the next two weeks then call your old store and speak to your old Line Manager

Yeah, I called them up today and found that out. Would have been nice to have known in advance though, I now haave no money this weekend  :frown:

I left for a career break, so everything should be quite easy for them to sort out. I'm just a bit annoyed since I worked all my shifts up until payday (ie I left on Monday, and wouldnt have worked again before today anyway), thinking I was making it easier on them, so more likely to get the right money today *sigh*
I am a new starter, and just recieved a cheque..which ive banked, but now means im going to be paid a week late!!!!!

yeah u get ****ed around a bitas a new starter. Expect t wait a few months before it goes into ur bank not cheques :hmpf:
When I was a new starter, I had to skip a paycheck and instead got paid six weeks' worth of money on the next one. At least your payment's only going to be like 3 working days late, rather than a month!

Cheques from Tesco are quality - you get this cool rainbow signature! Pity you have to give them to the bank really...

Okay, please can people clarify these questions. I started working at tesco 4 weeks ago today at a homeplus store, the day i started was payday (22nd July) and i was made to believe that payday was every four weeks so that means i should have been paid into my bank, only i hav'nt been, will i get a cheque and do i have to go to someone to get it, i like the sound of the rainbow signature haha! Also, i have not recieved one letter from Tesco confirming my employment, my dad said your meant to get one legally, did anyone else experience this, how do i solve it? And last but not least, do payslips get sent to you or do you have to collect them, if so where from?
This is my first job and although i have trust the tesco people know what they are doing, my dad keeps asking me questions that i really can't answer, and have no knowlege of :frown:
Thanks for the help in advance.
