I want to apply for medicine for 2021 entry, but my GCSE English grade was a C grade and that limits my already limited choices due to access to HE diploma route of entry...I sat my GCSEs about 5/6 years ago and need to attain a B grade or above between now and the October 2020 application date. I think I only need English language, is this possible? And if so, how? Thanks.

Look for how to sit it as a private candidate.

It will cost no more than £70 but is normally about £40.

It will require some immense practice aswell, it's hard to pass but once you've passed its very easy to get higher marks.

What do you mean it’s hard to pass and easy to get higher marks? Is it a grade boundaries thing?

Yes, once to have got past 60 marks (about a 4) it's easy to go up in the grade boundaries
