Which Unis have the best JSocs? Watch
Student life, in partnership with UEA
Do bear in mind that some Jsoc's favour a liberal social culture and are willing to admit members of all backgrounds.
I'm still unsure of where I want to study, or what I want to study, but this is something I'll be considering when I choose which unis I want to go to ngl. Where I live now is a bit dead and travelling to shul is a hassle, I'd probably become more involved in Jewish life if I went to a uni with a good JSoc (I've heard Leeds and Birmingham are meant to be good from friends but that's about it).
The 4 'Jewnis' are: Manchester, Nottingham, Leeds and Birmingham. interesting Notts wasn't a Jewni 15 years ago but now is as much as the others. There are also lots of Jews at Bristol and out of the non-red brick unis you will find many at Nottingham Trent, Manchester Met, Leeds Met (now either Beckett or Trinity I can't remember) and Birmingham City... see a pattern?
