Logarithms help

Hi, Can someone help me solve this equation:

25^x = 5^(x+1) - 6

I tried to use the usual method of taking logs of everything then got x as -0.113 but this didn't work.
Can someone direct me through this?
Thanks

There's a hidden quadratic equation. Write u = 5^x and you will be able to re-arrange the equation as a quadratic equation. Solve to find u, then to find x.
