Post Breast Augmentation Bra wearing (and lack of)

I had a breast augmentation about a week and a half ago, and was wondering if anyone has had one and knew(or not had one and just generally knows) when you could start going out without a bra on. I know I'm meant to stick to sports bras for a good couple of months and stay clear of any underwiring during that time, but i wasn't sure if the time restraint was the same for just not wearing a bra?
The reason being these sports bras are doing my head (having never worn or even considered wearing a sports bra until my op, when obviously i had to), they're so ugly, uncomfortable, unflattering, minimising and just generally mean hardly any of my clothes are wearable (especially clothes for nights out!!), and i've tried quite a few of my outfits on without a bra and they look really good now (thanks to my new gravity defying chest).
So if anyone knows when i can start wearing those outfits without a bra, I'd very much appreciate a share of the knowledge.

Your best bet would be to contact the clinic where you had your surgery done and ask them. I suspect that you should wear your sports bra in the evenings because you will need the added support that you need during the day. It may be inconvenient at the moment but it is only for a relatively short period of time and then you can go bra free if that is what you choose to do.
hey,

I had mine done too and completely agree, it's a nightmare finding nice, wearable bras post-surgery. I was told though, that whilst you have to sleep in sports bras for 6 weeks, the most important thing is that you don't wear underwire as it can rub the stitches and it's also not v comfortable. A lot of places do some quite nice non-wired bras. I found a couple at calvin klein and a really pretty one at agent provocateur. They're not that supportive but if you need something attractive to wear for a few hours in the evening they're perfect. M & S also do post-surgery bras but they're pretty ugly.... good for sleeping in though. Hope that helps.

It is recommended to wear sports bra for at least 6 weeks after breast augmentation and it should be taken care of as breast tissues are weak after this surgery, sports bra are good during this period and they are available in various styles as well and be sure to use one see http://sfcosmeticsurgery.com/blog/wearing-a-bra-after-breast-augmentation/
