This general election 2019, we want to see if we can get your questions to the leaders of all the main political parties in the UK and get you the answers you want. We are contacting all the main political parties, and asking them to respond to your questions. Check out our hub thread here for all the links to all the Q&A threads we have.

If you could ask Jeremy Corbyn, leader of Labour, a question this general election, what would you ask? Maybe your interested in finding out more about the election manifesto, what Labour plan to do for the NHS and education, or a question about the election campaign itself.

We will then be posing these questions to Labour and Jeremy Corbyn, and ask them to answer the questions you feel are important. If they respond, we will then post these answers so you can see what they said!

If there are a lot of questions, a shortlist will be sent over to the parties. We have extended this offer to all the parties listed in the main hub thread linked above, and will put up answers (when/if we receive them) from the leaders in our General Election forum. If we do not get a response from the party by Wednesday 11th December, we will update the hub thread to let you know.

Can you please outline the strategy for making sure a Marxist candidate is on the ballot paper when you resign after the election? Will the election rules have to be changed before you dare resign? if so, how long do you think that might take?

Why do you think that the media has engaged in such a hostile character-assassination campaign against you (as confirmed by the LSE study into how you are covered by the media)?

Just how scared does this suggest that the entrenched establishment/business interest groups (that represent the 1% of this country, as opposed to the common working man represented best by you throughout your public life) are of you and your (sensible, popular and consistently-advocated-for) policies?

I like to ask Jeremy Corbyn a four part question.

1) How he believes offering a referendum on remain in all bar name vs remain brings unity to the country? 2) Why he has placed a person who is opposed to leaving in any form, in the position of negotiating the remain in all bar name deal?
3) Who's going to campaign for leave in his referendum?
4) How will whomever he answers in 3, justify calling starmers deal a creditable leave option, when it wont leave almost any part of the EU bar the negotiation table, which is the best bit!

What do you think of all of your MPs who have stuck their fingers up to their constituents in the 2017 Referendum and ignored the voice of the people there.

How does your party plan to reform the Gender Recognition Act and improve access to healthcare for gender non conforming/transgender people? the more I read up on it the less I find about the policies of each specific party on the matter. also, like lib Dems have said they would, I think it would be wise to bring the ability to not declare gender or identify outside of m/f in your reforms if you want to appeal to people with this aspect of policy.

Given the astronomical spending promises already made, including those outside the manifesto, what are your contingency plans to pay for everything if your tax take (from the rich people/businesses you hope will stick around) isn't as high as you hope?

Does it then fall to 'only the middle-class and up will pay', or does everyone have to share?

How do you manage to put up with the continual lies and misrepresentation from a heavily biased press and media that continually and deliberately distorts Labour's message.

(Original post by snazzy viking)
Why do you want to impose even higher taxes for working families ?
Because working classes benefit the most from public services they could not afford without the taxation system. The people that benefit from low taxation societies are the people who already have disposable income.
