This general election 2019, we want to see if we can get your questions to the leaders of all the main political parties in the UK and get you the answers you want. We are contacting all the main political parties, and asking them to respond to your questions. Check out our hub thread here for all the links to all the Q&A threads we have.

If you could ask Boris Johnson, leader of the Conservative party, a question this general election, what would you ask? Maybe your interested in finding out more about the election manifesto, what the Conservatives plan to do for the NHS and education, or a question about the election campaign itself.

We will then be posing these questions to the Conservatives and Boris Johnson, and ask them to answer the questions you feel are important. If they respond, we will then post these answers so you can see what they said!

If there are a lot of questions, a shortlist will be sent over to the parties. We have extended this offer to all the parties listed in the main hub thread linked above, and will put up answers (when/if we receive them) from the leaders in our General Election forum. If we do not get a response from the party by Wednesday 11th December, we will update the hub thread to let you know.

Why do you refuse to answer the question of how many children do you have? In contrast to David Cameron, who never sought to hide his late son, Ivan.

In 1995 you wrote that working class men were often "drunk, criminal, feckless and hopeless".
In 1998 you called gay men "tank-topped bumboys".
In 2002 you referred to African people as "piccaninnies" and as having "watermelon smiles".
In 2005 you said that "the bottom 20% of society is the group that supplies us with the chavs, the losers, the burglars, the drug addicts".
In 2018 you said Muslim women looked like "letterboxes".
None of these things have been taken back or apologised for.
Yet, in 2019, you claim to be the candidate of the people and a uniting force. How?

If you require cash to plug any holes in your spending plans, which income group will the burden fall on?

Why do you describe your own pledges as 'spending' and Labour's as 'borrowing'?

Why did you lie about the number of hospitals you will build, and when they would be built?

If you believe in state education, why were your own children privately educated?

  • Was Martin Hammond wrong to suggest that you feel it is 'churlish of us not to consider you an exception'?
  • Why is it that so many people you have worked with have such a poor opinion of your capabilities and character?
  • Why are you so resistant to scrutiny?
  • Why do you ruffle up your hair just before you go on stage/on camera? Do you genuinely think we're all stupid enough not to realise this is part of your schtick?
  • How does it feel to be part of the problem, rather than the solution?

What are your plans regarding reform of the Gender Recognition Act? And I'm hoping for more than 'we'll look at it after Brexit is done', since all other major parties have given their stance in their manifestos. The consultation was over a year ago. :poke:

According to the Conservative government, how many more nurses will we have in the NHS under their leadership?
Why dress this up to be something that it isn't, when in reality all it is showing is that 19,000 existing staff will want to leave their roles due to a lack of investment in the NHS in recent years?

What changes to taxation do you plan on implementing?

Given that all official financial bodies reports suggest that Brexit (of any form) will be damaging to the economy, why is the party so fixated on forcing through something which was passed on a 2% majority that may not exist if a vote was held today?

With climate change being one of the biggest issues being discussed in this election, why has the party decided to be the least ambitious in terms of cutting emissions of all the major parties?

By what date would you expect that the cost of an electric vehicle is on par with a petrol/diesel alternative?

Do you envisage nationalisation of any public services in the coming years?

How can you expect people to trust your party when The Institute for Fiscal Studies (IFS) has said that the Conservatives' spending plans are "not credible"? Are you suggesting that you have a better understanding of the relevant finances than the IFS?

Why would you put something that's oven-ready in the microwave? Is this a sign that you want us to crash out with a no-deal at the end of the transition period?

Why are you not making an bigger effort in this election campaign to highlight the Marxist nature of the Labout Party and the far-reaching implications of what this will mean for our way of life, alliances and foreign policy if it comes to power?
