Midget Ventures Into the World of Blogging!
Hi guys! I'm not sure how well this is going to go or how often I'll be posting, but I decided to start blogging in an aid to my mental health. Sometimes venting my day or my random thoughts helps get the negativity out of my head and generally makes me feel a lot better. So this will be a blog of life, random thoughts and possibly some insight on what it's like to live with GAD.

Thank you to anyone trudging through this, I don't expect replies from anyone as this is purely to vent my thoughts. Though I do appreciate the support I've received from the wonderful people on here so far

Spoiler:
What is GAD?
GAD stands for Generalised Anxiety Disorder, and whilst most anxiety is temporary, this is not. The disorder leaves you feeling anxious about a whole range of things; your own abilities, relationships and friendships, money worries, injury and many other issues. For those that suffer with the disorder, the worry and panic can feel almost constant and leaves many of us physically exhausted and unable to sleep. However, it can be controlled through therapies such as CBT and if you're comfortable with it, anti-depressant medication.
(Please don't take any of this as a guide, everything said here is from my own experience. If you are concerned about such issues, please speak to a GP)

The Small Person Behind the Keyboard
- The name's Beth, I'm 24 years old.
- I'm obsessed with guitars and guitar playing, and I may as well be surgically attached to one.
- I'm currently studying a law degree, with the hope of becoming a solicitor. (Not entirely sure of the specialisation yet
)
- I'm huge on gaming, and should probably also have a controller surgically attached.
- Gigging in bars is probably my favourite thing to do, I'm always searching for new music (I'm open to recommendations!)
- My absolute dream is to travel around East Asia, I find Asian culture absolutely fascinating and would love to learn more.

Unfortunately today's a rather dull day, I've been reading around and writing an essay for the past week and a half now and it's really getting me down. Not entirely happy with the way its turned out but I'm running out of time to do further reading, add in different points. I'm 400 words of finishing and quite honestly I'm just glad to have nearly finished the thing. I've never felt so down about a piece of work before, and I'm genuinely not expecting to get a decent mark on it in the slightest. Worrying that I'd overestimated my ability and that I probably shouldn't be at university after all
Buut on the plus side, my friends and I are going for a much needed night out tonight. It sounds like it's going to get quite messy and I'm honestly dreading the hangover already haha. Time to get my groove on

Today has been a lazy day as a result of my inevitable Wednesday hangover. So I've been kinda lazy and not really done anything productive today, which I'm feeling a little guilty for but oh well! Probably a good thing since it was well needed, I've been working my ass off trying to catch up with uni work after all my London visits recently. The whole ordeal has been tiring as hell. Still not looking forward to the idea of potentially living in London...
I've spent the majority of the day playing The Outer Worlds (I'm actually hooked, it's amazing) but I did learn how to make Lemon Chicken today! Who needs chinese takeaway when you can master it at home?
Still a bit of a slow day, but still plenty to do!

Ohh, I'll follow. What sorta games are you into? How are you today?

Ooh I'm massively into anything Open World/RPG like. I love the freedom of being able to explore and do your own thing whilst it's still tied up to a good storyline. The Fallout series has to be my favourite but I also love Mass Effect, Skyrim, Zero Horizon Dawn, Farcry. Really hyped for Biomutant to be released but they seem to be taking their time with that

and I'm good! thank you for asking. Made it through a day with no worries and I've finally manage to finish an essay I've been stressing about for weeks, so that's a huge weight off of my shoulders

How about you?

Used to be a massive fan of competitive games (CS:GO, Overwatch, Rocket League) but don't really have the time to commit to them anymore.

Good to hear today's been better for you in terms of anxiety.

I'm doing OK all things considered, thank you for asking. Did have an anxiety attack earlier, but sorted out what was causing the issue.
