after a year of studying english literature, language analysis is suddenly expected of me for 'the tempest'. my problem is that after a year of not doing any sort of language analysis, i have forgotten everything and as a consequence, my english grades have really suffered.

i was wondering if anyone had any resources, such as a list of language features to look out for.

thanks

yes, but due to how it's understandably expected at a level standard now and how my teacher has given my class very little guidance, i have no idea what i'm doing or how to analyse literary techniques anymore aside from the more obvious ones like alliteration

Some of these documents list English language theories that are bloody useless for English lit. at A Level, and do not help when it comes to AO2 analysis.

I feel as though you haven't taken English language at A Level before. There are very few, if any, resources that are good for both subjects.

how do you revise for english literature? i want to achieve A/B grade and i just got my coursework back and she pulled a face when i said my predicted grades an A but my coursework was a level 4. i had to do the draft the day before due to personal reasons and eventhough i explained that i rushed it she acted like im only gonna get a 4 which is quite rude and makes me wanna try hard on this now!
