The followin is sum1s actual personal statement now it was in 1 of the sub forums bt personally i dont thnk it got the attention it deserved.now its a bit long bt trust me its comedy. 
Ko Li's Personal Statement
I believe I will be a great man in future. Why?
I enjoy reading. I’ve read nearly 50 percent of books in the Nanchang library. I am a part-time reporter of ‘JiangNanDuShiBao’ (A major newspaper in JiangXi province). I like writing too. There were more than 15 pieces of writings from me in any kind of newspapers. I have found that it’s a good way to earn some extra pocket money.
I like computers, and using them. I can use Basic or other tools to program small games. I also like web designing. I designed my first homepage by myself when I was 13. In the same year, I won the 2nd place in National Computing Competition. Because of that, my friends often ask me to help them to with their difficulties in using computers. I enjoy helping others.
When I began my studies in senior middle school, I began to be proud of my talents since many girls were addicting to me for my general knowledge. All my classmates said: “Ko Li is one of the most handsome boys in our school.” They were talking not only my appearance, but also my heart. I’m studying hard and want to keep my high rank in my school exam ranking. At the same time, I try my best to help my friends who fall behind.
I am another man when I am in sport hall. I never give up trying with my limited special skills and physical power, so that I can defeat lots stronger enemy. I enjoy the happiness of being a winner. People called me “Cool-Boy” in playing basketball and “King player” in fencing.
One of best hobbies is music. Although I’ve learn to play any instruments, I can play some stringed instruments just like GuQin. I also write music for my poem and singing all the songs sung by other singer which I have listing 4 times. I admire Mozart and I am also interested in R&B and fantasy pop music. So my parents said that I was a freak in music. Sometimes I translate Chinese music into English, and sing them to entertain my classmates.
I don’t think that one can be a genius without any efforts so I am always making efforts to improve myself. Because of this, I think I will be a great man in future.
At present I’m trying to be good in both character and school work. I’m a member of the Math Olympia Group in our school, and I’ve some achievement in M.O. in China. I am not quite so well in Physics, but I ‘m working hard in it. Chemistry and Biology are not the problems. I like economics which is currently not offer by high schools in China. I always want to be a successful businessman just like Bill Gates, a great writer like William Shakespeare, a musician like Jay (a Chinese pop singer), a hero as ZhengChenggong, a graduate of Cambridge, a worker for Internet, and also a hermit when I was old. I want to be successful in all the fields which I am interested in. I want all my followers remember me as a matchless man long and long time. This is my dream, may not really come true, but I will try my best to!
My parents both didn’t have the chance to go to university in England. I’m eagerly waiting for the best education in the world and I want to go to Cambridge university, so I’ll try my best in the future and improve myself.

The worst personal statement I ever read started: "Hello, my name is <removed for anonymity>, I have 3 brothers and a sister, and I want to teach everyone the wonders and joy which comes with knowing God, and I think the best way to do this is a course in Agriculture"
I just read that first bit and thought "WHAT...THE....F---". It got much worse...loads of stuff about "sowing the seeds of gods love in everyone's heart" and lots of other stuff....i didnt want to laugh cos someone clearly thought this meant a lot to them!
