Voting is now open in the 30th TSR general election! You have a choice of four parties and four independent candidates to choose from, whose manifestos are displayed below. These results will then be transformed into the new parliament for the Model House of Commons.

All TSR users can vote, provided they have 100 posts on TSR and their account is at least 3 months old. If you aren't sure whether that applies to you, please vote anyway, and any ineligible votes will be filtered out at a later stage.

If you aren't able to vote in the TSR poll, you are able to do so 'postally' by sending a PM to both me and the deputy speaker, CatusStarbright.

Happy voting!

Vote for Barnetlad to keep a Green voice in the House
Look after our one planet, improve health and bring local jobs

Don’t ignore the Climate Emergency- be carbon neutral by 2030.

Increase renewables to 70% of all energy by 2025- more wind power, solar energy. More insulation.
End fossil fuel use by 2035.
Plant trees or hedges on 5% or more of all large landholdings. Stop paving over of gardens.
Reduce red meat consumption by a third by 2030.

Transport for all, not harming anyone

No new diesel taxis/minicabs, phase out in five years.
A separate driving test for large ‘Chelsea tractor’ cars.
No third runway at Heathrow.
Electrify railways, back in public ownership, locally managed wherever possible.
Employers to pay cycle or walking allowances or train fares as an alternative to mileage allowance.
No non-electric company cars by 2025.

Don’t be isolationist

A referendum on the Brexit withdrawal agreement- I will campaign to Remain.
Overseas aid at 0.7% of GDP- use aid better not end it.
Modern Foreign Languages taught until 16 at all schools

Home and work fit for all

Proper regulation of landlords, estate agents.
Incentivise modernisation and energy efficiency in the planning system.
An end to zero hours contracts.
Employment not the gig economy for distribution/deliveries.
Tax business on sales not on the legal fiction of rateable value- help the High Street.

More democracy and local decisions
PR in all elections.
A Welsh Parliament with more powers, devolution to Cornwall.
Indy ref 2 in Scotland.

Love those we share the planet with

A dog registration scheme.
An end to live animal exports.
No more real fur.

Well I hate to burst your bubble, but the click to view full manifesto for the Lib Dems isn't working (well not for me anyway)

Same here Andrew97. Is there meant to be a clickable Conservative manifesto also? I can click on it and it takes me to a random page saying file not available.

I’m in the process of fixing both of these.

Lib Dem now fixed.

The Conservative one is meant to be clickable, I have gone back through my PMs and the link I was sent is also broken. Apologies. They were working last night.

Right. The clickable Cons manifesto should now no longer lead to an error page, but rather a place to download it.
