Right,

This is goin to sound a tad odd, but I seem to have a hair root causing me trouble in my butt, at the base of my spine and its extremely painful. I can hardly sit properly and often found myself sitting in the perch position. Last time I had it my mum used hottish caster oil, put it on the area to take out the inflammation - after that it went away, BUT it seems to of come back again, but a lot worse. Funnily enough my dad and my aunty have suffered the same thing - obviously it runs in the family!

My mum currently isnt here to look at it (on holiday) and I cant find the caster oil to try and treat the area myself - anyone got any ideas they can think of that will help me out in the meantime?

Thanks

your mum rubbed oil on your ass?

Why don't you go to the doctors, it might be serious.

shave
Im a girl!? Its not hair which is like men's - its just the usual body hair that is all over people's bodies - mine for some reason just seem to give me a lot of trouble. Might even be that the hair has curled on itself, causing this massive lump and awful pain. I want to be able to sit on my backside properly, although saying that - its actually making my posture better/how I sit?! So its got its pro's and con's.

did you use any bubble bath or soaps or anything with your bath? coz that would make it worse

maybe try NHS direct? or look it up on the internet or something?

Go see a doctor tomorrow and in the meantime don't prod it and take some painkillers if it's painful.

Yea i had a bath in the week (long soak) and that made it worse. Before people say no im not a skank who doesnt wash lol, I have showers instead and baths when I fancy a long soak to de-stress.

I might try the bath idea again and see.

Thanks for your input. Glad you like the title too

My bad
I'm in a bad mood accept my apologies. But do go see a doctor, and if the hot bath didn't work last time then for gods sake don't do it again!

I hope for your sake you haven't got a Pilonidal cyst! But yeah go to the doctor as soon as you can, you shouldn't ignore stuff like that.

You will probably need a small op!
But the quicker you 'catch' it the better!

Sorry I was 2 minutes late in replying to you then..?

And no I haven't, but I read the Something Awful forums and it seems like everyone there has one. They said getting it lanced was agony to put it briefly, which is why I hoped you didn't have it.
