sometimes when people post threads the mods reply with 'bumped- as this took a while to be approved' (or something)

what does 'bumped' actually mean? sorry if i sound thick but i've just always wondered what it meant and i can't take any more sleepless nights over it...!

A post to simply bring the thread to the top of the forum when it's getting buried.

lol I don't like it wither, complained about it, it's annoying.

Bumped in slang also means that someone's cheated you out of something, that you've been swindled or something and it's just weird coz normally I hear it in negative connotations.

forums put the most recent threads at the top - i.e the ones that have the latest replies

on a place liek tsr if soemthign doesnt get repleid to it will quickly move a few pages back - so people bump their post to bring it back to the top

it is soemthing that happens on all forusm unless it is not allowed.
