Would this degree offer me job opportunities? (digital media & information studies)

Would this degree prove worthwhile whether I follow down this path or follow another one afterwards? (eg law) Does it have good transferable skills?)
Is computer science a more useful degree even though I'm not really fond of things like programming?

I'd be very careful about it. It's trying to be 'all things to all people'. SO if you want to work in the heritage sector, there are better heritage/interpretation degrees to do. If you want to work in libraries (which are all about digital material now, not books) then there are better librarianship degrees. If you want to work in the music sector, there are better music tech degrees. So even if you haven't decided and fancy doing something more general, there's a likelihood that when you get to job hunting, you will find the competition has more competitive knowledge, because they've studied in greater depth.
