I'm studying abroad currently, if you're European I can't recommend it enough, Air travel is relatively quick and cheap if you feel the need to go home but you get a huge range of experiences everyday and lots of the best universities across europe will have up to 50% international students and courses taught in many languages - If you have a specific subject you really want to do I'd suggest looking at the unis that are specialised in that subject, lots of universities you may never have heard of will actually be best in europe/the world, with a lot less competition than oxbridge or russel group unis for example
