Yeh, the person i now consider to be my best friend.
We chatted for ages, text everyday, talked on the phone. Then i stayed at hers and she's stayed at mine.
And as of September we happen to be at unis just a short distance from each other.

I go out regularly with my friends from my Uni group at lastfm, and there is a British friend from last.fm coming round mine in a fortnight. I am also going with a friend I met through last.fm to a festival in Barcelona next weekend, so yeah.
I have also met friends at Uni and parties, don't think I just socialise through last.fm :P
There are weirdos but most people are normal peeps like you and I.

Yeah, I let people sleep on my couch, through the website couch surfing.
incidentally you'll probably be the first one i meet off the net (if we do bump into each other at college next year) and a few others going to the same college next year :woo:

Yes, a girl who lived about 45 mins away. Our relationship flopped because we didn't have that much in common and it was too much of a trek to meet up, but it was good while it lasted.

I would. if I could. But she lives in Germany lol.

The closest I've got to meeting someone from the net is hearing their voice on x-fire lol (I took the piss out of his american accent :P).

Yeap. Flew to Chicago on my own a few years back to meet a group of 15 people I met on a forum.......really lovely people, we're still in touch. Most of them were american, but there were 2 others from the UK there. Funny enough my mother encouraged me to go

Met my ex on a chatroom. We talked online for like 6 hours and as we lived in the same town we met up the same day, he was a really nice guy...for about a week, then it kind of fizzled out. But it's a great way of getting to know people without the awkwardness you get when you first meet someone.
