hi dont worry abt the tests too much.. i think the passing percentile is around 30th.. u shud be ok just be calm do ur best.

remember the tests r just the start of the recruitment process.

well when you do it with the firms they don't tell you % but percentile i.e. how you compared to other people who did the tests

the kpmg test is harder than the others and you need around 30/40th percentile usually

for others it is higher

have a read around http://www.wikijob.co.uk/ for some tips and info

edit: also I think GTIOS tests are easier than SHL in general

I just tried the SHL free trial test. My score was 62% on verbal and 63% on Numeric . I don't know whether it is pass or fail as apparently they do not have a benchmark to check against yet. I reckon I did very bad. Can anyone share their if possible. Here's the link for the tests:

Thanks

Yeah I tried the test also..do they give you a different test based on your age? I am 17 and got 68 % on verbal and 55 % on numerical. Would that be a pass at a big 4 firm?
from what i remember from shl practice, there were 40q in 20min and in the actual test u get less questions but they are alot harder. No doubt 60%+ would be a pass in the real thing.

Where else can we pratise these sort of questions? SHL only allows 1 attempt doesnt it? even if you try to re-do your test on SHL wouldnt they just be the same questions shuffling around.

HI everyone can any one tell me if I have attempted only 20 out of 40 questions and how the results are computed????

I got around 80% (it was some time ago) in numerical and 60% in verbal. I can confirm you that this is enough to get into big4.

I just did the practice test on SHL, 79% verbal and 77% numerical although i only answered 30 or so out of 39 for the numerical.

Vinczo how do you know the big 4 requirements?

By "verbal" do you mean the thing with the situations and judging the best and worst solution?

If so, I got something like 89% in the verbal and 55% in the maths. I felt pretty ashamed of the maths score, but I suppose I haven't dealt with numbers for years. The next time I do one of these I'll be more ready :p:

Verbal is where you have a passage of text (like a mini paragraph), and each question is a statement, and you have to say whether the statement is true, false, or you can't tell from the paragraph

Oh! Actually I think I did do that one. I guess the situational one was a different test.
