I fall into this category and unfortunately means no one I like likes me. I care about college work a lot, play video games and watch mostly geeky movies like Star Wars, marvel, Harry Potter and also action ones like John wick, mission impossible etc. I’m not very girly and don’t wear any makeup. Would hearing this be a turnoff instantly?

It's like any traits and interests; it will appeal to some guys, not to others. You sound quite young, there's always time to meet someone; just don't try to change for anyone and stick with what you enjoy doing.

I'm F, did an engineering degree and joined the Armed Forces. I have a football season ticket and love action films. My first date with my now-boyfriend was an 18 mile run because I told him I was training for a marathon and he decided to come along. We officially got together when I'd just got back from a 40 mile sponsored walk and I was horribly sweaty and filthy. Just goes to show!

I get mistaken for a man, have nerdy interests (science, sci-fi & fantasy media, video games, etc), and still have no issues finding someone to date. In fact I feel it makes things easier because I typically have more in common with the average guy than the average girl. It's not as big a turn off as you seem to think!

Most guys don't really care about such things. If anything, it's a plus. It depends partly on the kinds of guys you tend to like.

If anything it's a plus because you arent going to moan at us for being on the Xbox or whatever too long

But no that in itself isnt a turnoff. Many factors are

I think I would because I am incapable of conversing much about anything let alone normal things. I have a hunch this would be toned down if I were dating someone who enjoys gaming/ learning more than talking/ getting a life. the only problem is, they prefer gaming/learning over getting a life essentially making it probably impossible for me :I

Do I say congrats to that?! I mean, I’m happy for you! Yeah, I’m only in college. Just seems everyone around me has found someone and I just don’t get any attention from boys. Perhaps when I’m older.

Yeah, I just compare myself to all the other girls as I’m in the minority of those around me.

Well I would like someone similar to me but I haven’t found that yet. Boys and caring about their education don’t mix well and I am very picky which is a bad thing.

Haha I’d probably play alongside my boyfriend to be honest, or at least watch him play.

Yes... I would... but are you ugly too? You seem to have omitted any reference to your appearance. Sorry... but no guy wants ugly offspring.

Ahah well that’s hard to answer. I wouldn’t say I’m pretty so perhaps it’s my looks that are the turnoff. I mean I don’t wear makeup so you know, that probably means I’m not pretty.
