Can I quit a job with no notice period

I’ve been at Pizza Hut for less than two weeks now and I would like to resign. I have signed the contracted. I told my boss today that I would like to resign and he was told me I need to work until the 28th. I read that within the first 30 days of employment no notice is necessary. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks x

The 28th sounds a bit long tbh. Normally It would be 1 weeks notice or 0 as you are new.

I’m in the same position. I currently work at build a bear and am considering leaving without notice sue to the severe impact it’s having on my mental health.

As previous poster has mentioned: It ALL comes down to what your Contract says. If you break the terms of your contract, then your Employer could technically sue you for monetary damages - although highly unlikely in practice for such a role.

Also, remember that you might want a reference from them. It is always better to leave on good terms if you can and not leave an employer in the .....
