Hi. Any tips on how to prepare for the exam? THinking of joining next year

Feel free to share how you felt the test went here!
Please avoid any specific about it as this could help others sitting theirs after yours and give them an edge over you :ninja:

A lot of the test questions are problem solving, however some of them, I guess you could practice those math challenge UKMC (?) things.

I would definitely do the practise paper that’s on their website it is normally very similar to the actual paper.

Non-calculator (unless things have changed) - it should say on the website though

I would in a few days, but only if I’m the only one who hasn’t heard anything. I just want to know if anyone else has got anything back.

Also, do you know roughly how long after the exam they offer interviews?

I think I found out just before the Christmas holidays but we sat the exam a week earlier than you guys are doing it and I suspect there were probably fewer papers to mark so I’m not sure:dontknow:

I am quite nervous too. I don't know how else to practice, but I think at this point it would be better to relax for most of the time instead of thinking about it because it will allow the brain to work better (unless you're someone who works better when practising more and more).

Don`t be nervous. Most of my mistakes came from
nervousness in tests like SMC or TOT.
