well in the bible it says - homosexuals will not inherit the kingdom of God. I love everyone regardless but from a religious point... it’s not right.
Because they have a closed mind and are bigoted.
Live and let live I say.

How many people are likely gay in a year group at college?

I'm in year 13 and I'd say about like 40%-50% of my year is LGBT+

That seems like a high number. How many are in your year?

I know 2 in my year of over 100. However, there obviously maybe more as they may have just not said anything about it.

Lucky you lol

In my school probably 70-80% of guys were homophobic [don't know how the women were though, I can't really remember hearing any negative comments from them]

I actually knew no gay people. They were all in the closet in school. Every single one of them. Only years later on facebook as an adult did I find out they were gay. Coming "out" at school was unheard of.

times do change.....
I don't view it as something natural and the way someone is brought up affects that. That doesn't make me homophobic as I dont hate on them or treat them differently. I just dont agree with their views.

The same way I don't agree with someone changing from male to female or other way round. As it's the way they've been brought up that affects them.

so apart from 'because God says so', why don't you give us some actual reasoning as to why it's wrong? You clearly don't view homosexuals in the same way as heterosexuals if you think they won't inherit the kingdom of God

Let me guess. You live in an extremely white, middle class, safe area where everyone wants to be seen as progressive and cool. I'm not a psychic before you ask.
