hi there, I am really struggling with the OCR computer studies GCSE course and I have been recommended to do BTEC. But doing this, I won't be able to go to the grammar school I want to. I chose GCSe today but I am scared that I won't do well. I want to prove my teacher wrong but I am having trouble understanding the basics. For example, if you were to ask me,"What is an Operating System?, I don't know. I really, really hope someone can guide me. If there is anything you have for me like pass papers or something, that would be great. Thanks to all.

and to convince your teacher, I would suggest you ask your teacher for help and then then in your upcoming exam, make sure you ace it! That'll show her that, actually, you are serious and need a computer science GCSE to go to the school you want. MAKE SURE YOU REVISE ON A DAILY BASIS. make flashcards, stick stuff up on the wall - whatever will help you remember stuff. I can assure you this will work because I also have taken computer science for GCSE. I also recommend this book:
https://www.amazon.co.uk/GCSE-Comput...c=1&th=1&psc=1
you could initially ask your teacher to ask your school finnce or headeacher if they could invest in these books for you, if they already haven't, because this book is AMAZING for learning stuff from. it also comes with an online edition.

hope this helped x
